El 22º Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre (FLISOL)
El FLISoL es el evento de mayor difusión de Software Libre, cuyo principal objetivo es dar a conocer este movimiento de acceso libre a todo el mundo, tanto a conocedores como a entusiastas interesados en aprender. Así, reúne a una gran variedad de personas: niños, jóvenes, adultos, profesores, alumnos, programadores y no programadores, todos unidos con el objetivo de enriquecer sus conocimientos y fortalecer una de las bases fundamentales de la difusión del Software Libre, de manera completamente gratuita, llegando así a todos. Se realiza desde el año 2005 y, desde 2008, se adoptó su realización el 4.º sábado de abril de cada año. Diferentes países se unen a la causa al llevar a cabo los eventos de manera simultánea. Así, este 2026, Ecuador se une al movimiento.

¿Qué es el Software Libre?
En un mundo lleno de desigualdad económica, se alza un movimiento con el fin de romper las barreras económicas y el difícil acceso al conocimiento, especialmente para quienes quedan excluidos de la distribución tradicional basada en el pago por información. Este movimiento, que lucha por el libre acceso, tiene entre sus principales exponentes al software libre, cuyo objetivo es brindar los recursos necesarios para que todos podamos estudiar, modificar y compartir herramientas digitales sin excepción alguna.
